Towards understanding security and its interdependence with good governance and socio-economic development, 76 mayors of Northern Mindanao participated in the 7th Executive Course on Security, Peace, and Development (ECSPD) held on October 17-19, 2018 at Mallberry Hotel, Cagayan de Oro City.
Conducted by the Department of National Defense (DND) and Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), the three-day activity tackled the principles behind security interventions and suggested practical approaches in its implementation.
“Through this, we will be able to dissect the real problems in your territory and of course, the solution is within that territory,” said DILG Undersecretary for Peace and Order Bernardo C. Florece, Jr. as he delivered the message of DILG Secretary Eduardo M. Ano.
