DILG R1 to Host 3rd LGRRC Quarterly Conference

The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region I shall be hosting the 3rd Local Governance Regional Resource Center (LGRRC) Quarterly Conference 2017 with the theme "LGRRC: Forward, Fast, Fierce" on July 31 to August 3, 2017 at the Plaza del Norte Hotel and Convention Center, Laoag City.

The activity is aimed at improving the LGRRCs to effectuate better knowledge practices, improve organizational behaviors, and overall organizational performance. Discussions on relevant updates pertaining to DILG and Local Government Academy (LGA) programs, projects and activities shall be tackled. Further, sessions on tourism, and culture-based governance to include the sharing of Region 1 LGUs' best practices shall form part of the conference.

The conference shall be attended by around 100 participants nationwide composed of officials from the DILG Central Office, Regional Offices' Assistant Regional Directors, Division Chiefs and Local Government Academy (LGA) technical personnel.

The LGRRC is established in every region. It is a network of institutions collaborating together to leverage and share internal and external knowledge for local governance capacity building and performance excellence. It has 4 programs/facilities, namely, Capacity Development, Public Education and Citizenship, Linkage, and Multi-media and Knowledge.
