DILG-7 presents best practices vs illegal drugs

The Department of the Interior and Local Government – 7 (DILG-7) recently showcased its best practices on the continuous fight against illegal drugs even amidst the ongoing pandemic during the Barangay PDEA live interview.

DILG-7 Local Government Monitoring and Evaluation Division (LGMED) Chief Atty. Ian Kenneth Lucero presented the best practices of partner Civil Society Organizations/Non-Government Organizations in implementing Barangay Drug Clearing Program in Central Visayas.

Among the featured CSOs/NGOs are the two 2020 ADAC Special Awardees - Libertad Multi-Purpose Cooperative and Bayawan City Chaplaincy and Faith Community Federation, the Council of Christian Ministers Mandaue, Dilaab Foundation, Inc., and Bidlisiw Foundation, Inc.

San Remigio, Cebu Mayor Mariano Martinez also highlighted the Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Council's relentless efforts in maintaining the drug-cleared status of the municipality.

DILG-7 and its partner-agencies in the Regional Oversight Committee on Barangay Drug Clearing Program - 7, namely PDEA-7, PRO-7, and DOH-7, have been steadfast in their pursuit of eradicating all forms of illegal drugs in the 3,003 barangays in the region.
