Burdeos said he was satisfied over the reception of the recently concluded 2-batch training attended by a total of 217 punong barangays and 31 MLGOOs. He said the active participation and positive reaction of the attendees emphasized the need to cover the remaining target barangays to undergo the same training.

The Katarungang Pambarangay (KP) or Barangay Justice System (BJS) is a community-based system for resolving disputes/conflicts between members of the same community administered by the smallest political subdivision, the barangay.

Other members of the communities act as intermediaries and facilitate the discussion of possible solutions. BJS is a tool for declogging court dockets, provides access to service at a minimum cost to both the government and the litigants and promotes the speedy administration of justice.
