MISAMIS ORIENTAL– Some 120 individuals of Barangay Bulahan, Claveria recently availed of various government services through the Serbisyo Caravan organized by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG-10) and LGU of the Municipality of Claveria.
DILG-10 Regional Director Arnel M. Agabe said the serbisyo caravan sought to promote community empowerment, citizen participation and open dialogues between local leaders and citizenry concerning issues, development gaps and needed interventions which have been severely limited due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Agabe said community residents availed of the Business One-Stop Shop and other services from the Office of the Municipal Social Welfare and Development, Local Civil Registry, Assessor, Public Employment Service Office, Veterinary, Municipal Agriculture, Human Resource Management Office and the DILG.
He assured that strict health protocols were ensured implemented throughout the conduct of the said activity.
Meanwhile, Claveria Municipal Mayor Meraluna Abrogar thanked residents of Brgy. Bulahan for participating and supporting the activity.
Abrogar assured the residents that despite problems and delays brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, the government is making its best effort to serve the people.
Aside from the services offered, the Retooled Community Support Program (RCSP) team led an open forum that allowed the constituents of the barangay to express their concerns to the local leaders and national government agencies present.
The RCSP is a platform used to address the identified issues of the community by closing the governance and development gaps through provision of needed government programs while ensuring that development is sustained and peace is being promoted.
