Bohol Gov. Edgar M. Chatto (second from left) hands over a check amounting to P13.8-million from the Bohol Earthquake Assistance Project of the DILG to Mayor Lloyd Peter Lopez of Loon (second from right) for the reconstruction of ten barangay halls in his municipality at the Governor’s Mansion, Tagbilaran City. Posing with them are BEA Admin Officer Reynaldo Tampos (left) and Vice Governor Concepcion O. Lim (right).

The barangays halls of Tubuan, Pananquillon, Tubodio, Ticugan, Candaigan, Cantam-is Bago, Tubodacu, Pig-ot, Cansuagit, and Taytay were totally-damaged along with other structures and buildings in the municipality when the 7.2 magnitude Bohol Earthquake hit the provinces of Bohol and Cebu on October 15, 2013.

These 10 sub-projects are just among the 56 previously identified sub-projects in Loon to receive funding assistance from BEA-DILG which is expected to benefit 42,800 residents in the said municipality. Funding assistance for the remaining 46 sub-projects in the town will be released once the Program of Works (POWs) and other requirements have been completed.
