The National Council on Disability Affairs (NCDA) together with the Cerebral Palsied Association of the Philippines, Inc. will lead the observance of the 17th Cerebral Palsy Awareness and Protection (CPAP) Week in accordance with Proclamation No. 588, s. 2004.
This year’s celebration adopts the theme “Ugnayan, Malasakit at Paglingap sa mga Taong May Cerebal Palsy sa Panahon ng COVID-19 Pandemic”.
The coronavirus epidemic is causing widespread concern because it can be life-threatening to people at greater risk such as those with medical conditions including those with cerebral palsy. Medical and social interventions as well as economic relief must be readily available to them to minimize the risks of infection.
