The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region 1 is set to forge partnership with two local resource institutes (LRIs) in the region that will help facilitate the Citizen Satisfaction Index System (CSIS) in target municipalities.
Now on its fifth year of implementation, the CSIS is a feedback tool developed by the DILG in order to generate relevant citizens' feedback on LGUs service delivery performance in key areas of governance. These areas are: health, support to education, social welfare, governance and response, public works and infrastructure, environmental management, and economic and investment promotion.
DILG-1 Regional Director James F. Fadrilan said the regional office will tap the assistance of the Pangasinan State University (PSU) and Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU) in 2017 implementation of CSIS in the municipalities of Laoag and San Nicolas in Pangasinan, and Paoay of Ilocos Norte.
Fadrilan said DILG Region 1 has partnered with the same LRIs in the previous years.
He said the Bureau of Local Government Supervision (BLGS) of the DILG Central Office will train members of the different teams from LRIs in the data gathering, analysis and report writing as soon as the Memorandum of Agreement has been signed.
Earlier, the DILG Regional Office conducted a briefing for the target municipalities on the CSIS.
